FILMING IN LEADVILLE / LAKE COUNTY
We encourage and welcome filming in Leadville and Lake County. Here are a few guidelines and regulations that you need to observe when filming in areas. For any assistance with location scouting or permitting contact us at Doug@filmleadville.com
In general, permits are required for commercial filming and photography within Lake County. The desired location and size of the shoot will determine which permit will be required. Below are some of the key filming locations along with the permit requirements and main contacts.
CITY OF LEADVILLE

Shooting on public property in Leadville requires the completion of the City of Leadville Filming Permit.
The completed permits should be provided to Sarah Dallas, the Leadville City Admin Services Manager. She can be reached at 719-486-2092 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Key locations include: HISTORIC MINING DISTRICT and Mineral Belt Trail, TWIN LAKES VILLAGE, LAKE COUNTY COMMUNITY PARKS, LEADVILLE/LAKE COUNTY AIRPORT, HAYDEN MEADOWS, HUCK FINN ICE RINK AND SKATE PARK
Shooting on public property and facilities in Lake County, outside the Leadville city limits, requires the completion of the Lake County Special Events Permit.
The completed permit along with any corresponding permit fees should be provided to Anne Schneider from Lake County Building and Land no less than 14 days prior to shooting. She can be reached at 719-486-4112 or email@example.com.

LEADVILLE RANGER DISTRICT OF the SAN ISABEL NATIONAL FOREST
Key locations include - TURQUOISE LAKE, TWIN LAKES RESERVOIR, ARKANSAS RIVER HEADWATERS, SKI COOPER SKI AREA, INTERLAKEN HISTORIC RESORT, US FOREST SERVICE CAMPGROUNDS
The Leadville Ranger District of the San Isabel National Forest overseas the US Forest Service land in Lake County. Shooting on US Forest Service land requires the completion of the US Forest Service Special Uses Permit.
